Any ideas for a teen bedroom?

-I'm re-decorating my room and apparently am keeping this until I move out. Currently, I'm 13 and I just love earthy tones for a room. I've been looking into different blues and greens and am thinking about using this color or a color/shade similar (blue)

I understand it's bland and maybe even a bit old for my age but it matches my comforter, and I think it's pretty. I need some ideas to help make it less bland because I want my room to be unique and have lots of character. Any ideas? Links to pictures, ideas etc...would be greatly appreciated.
