Who is Good With Home Interior!? ROOM MAKEOVER HELP?

-I'm a teenage girl and want to paint my walls, but I need YOUR help on what to do.

I have a full size bed, a medium/small tv stand/dresser, a standing jewelry holder, a medium/large dresser, a medium desk, zebra chair, zebra rug, and 2 little modern night stands. All of my furniture is black with silver accents. My sheets are silk black ones.



I have one small/medium window with ugly plain white blinds. What kind of curtains? My closet has no doors. Don't know what kind to get or to just put up some kind of curtain? For my color of walls I was thinking lilac and having it fade from off white to lilac then to a darker purple but I'm not sure.



When you walk in my room, the right wall is where my closet is and the my jewelry holder is to the right of my closet (scanning to the left) tv stand, bed pushed against far wall, nightstand to right, dresser against wall, desk to the wall on left closest to door, another nightstand.



PLEASE HELP ME! What color scheme? How should I arrange my furniture and what types of curtains/and or closet doors.



:)Wow, your room sounds amazing (: Well, I think that you should just paint 1 wall (The wall which your bed is against) a lilac colour or a dark purple, as far as arranging the furniture goes- it depends on what shape & size your room is. For the curtains I'm not really sure.. Although you could try creating your room on the Sims, I know that sounds weird but if you have it, it might help :P
Paint the walls a deep lilac. Get white curtains and white wooden closet doors. paint the trim white.

The fading effect sounds bad. Listen, I like the zebra pattern but it can look really tacky if you are not careful with it. Black, white and silver would be perfect with red OR pink OR purple OR coral,which is a little more unpredictable. So let's say we would use lilac(because you said you like it) walls which would give room color and a more personal look , and I would use good quality WHITE curtains(satin or cotton or mix). I am telling you to use white curtains because you already will have too much black and purple in your room and you will need something lighter or else it will feel very depressing. Oh, I almost forgot. You can make each wall different tones of lilac, darker and lighter and you can do one wall with the sponge method:

Of course you will not use the color of the image. Many friends of mine have used this method,in fact one used purple and it looked GORGEOUS! You can find instructions online if you search.

Now, about the closet, the closet-curtain thing along with the zebra pattern... awful idea, seriously, not classy at all. So unless you don't have money, ask your parents where did they buy the closet from and maybe you can buy doors from there or you can go to a door maker(my English is not that good so I don't know the correct word) and get glass doors or mirror doors. If you don't like glass, then I suggest you use the same material and color with the rest of the closet. These are nice:

Don't forget: don't underestimate white, you will need it, because you have a small window and dark colors; the room will be too dark. Also, use a lot of light (including colorful candles). You already have a color scheme if you'd paint the walls lilac, white-black-lilac it is, but don't be afraid to use more colors, the only-up-to-two-colors rule does not apply any more! Lilac goes perfect with the colors I told you before; pink, red, coral AND other shades of purple like violet, cherry AND with a few shades of orange and yellow(that's more dangerous, because it can turn out good or bad).

I didn't really get the room arrangement you already have but I'll give you a few good feng shui tips.

The bedroom should be as far away as possible from the door and the window but you should also be able to approach it from both sides(don't have the one side pushed against the wall), you should have night tables on both sides, no mirrors should face the bedroom and it should not be on the same line with the window or the door.

Other decorative ideas can be, decorative pillows(different patterns and fabrics),candles,paintings,photos of family and friends,fresh flowers etc.
