-I have one of these wasp bee looking bugs in my backyard. It looks pretty but it makes holes in my backyard and it can fly. What is this creature called?if it is black and yellow it's a yellow jacket. the are horrible so stay away. they do not loose their barbs or stingers when they sting so they can hit you several times ( they nest in the ground)there are digger bees that dig and live in holes in the ground...there is a large wasp called the cicada killer that will dig a hole into the ground. Mud daubers don't dig holes.
omfggggggggggg its a mud daubers i think thats what its called.. we had them one time scary as hellllllllllll google it and check
There are a few bees that make nests underground. It could be a cicada wasp.
